About
I am Karine Scott and I am an experienced merchandiser with a passion for business strategy as it relates to the fashion industry. I love the marriage of fashion and business; it drives me. I see myself as a business visionary as I have a strong entrepreneurial spirit.
I received my Bachelor’s of Art in Fashion Merchandising with a minor in General Business from Virginia Commonwealth University in May of 2019. From there, I have had a well rounded experience in merchandising. Post-undergraduate, I was a Merchandise Intern at a Komar Brands, a sleepwear and loungewear manufacturing/licensing company. I was a Temp. Merchandise Assistant at Ross prior to accepting a Merchandise Assistant position for a men’s ready to wear buying team at Macy’s. This is a cherished and very impactful time in the early stages of my career. After a brief pause in my career due to the pandemic, I was a Merchandise Analyst for Pastel Collections, a small childrenswear company and was later promoted to Merchandise Manager of the company. A position that was briefly held as the pandemic had caught up to the company’s finances. In February of 2021, I was a merchandise logistics specialist as well as the logistics specialist for the watches metier in the customer service department at Hermes for 1 year 1/2. Currently, I’m the Assistant Buyer for Calvin Klein Men’s Underwear where I own and manage Singles and Loungewear departments. This position feels rewarding due to the long journey it took to get here. Each position has excited me in different ways, grew my knowledge and understanding of the business, and further confirmed my passion for fashion business. I am always striving to learn and further grow in my career and achieve my goals. Next up: Associate Buyer.
